Second, I have felt it immensely as a business owner. This is a long road we have ahead of us, and I look forward to working with my wonderful staff & amazing clients to keep our small waxing business safe, alive & thriving.
There will be changes at OC Waxing to help get us back on our feet, and to also keep our Employees & Customers safe and healthy. This is our top priority & we are committed to making sure you are safe. Please read on to see our changes & understand what we need from you as well. In addition to our changes, clients visiting our salons must complete our Covid Waiver form located BELOW
HEALTHY- We ask that any employee or persons entering into our salons to be healthy without fever, cough or sickness.
ALONE- We always welcome children in our waiting areas, but for the foreseeable future, we ask that you come to your appointment alone
MASKS- We will wear masks while servicing you, we ask that you bring and wear a mask as well.
FACE WAXING SERVICES- Effective June 27th, we will be adding all face waxing back to our menu! Government mandates have been listed and we are allowed to now offer these services with extensive Personal Protective Protocols and gear. Each of our Waxologists will be wearing shield goggles and masks while performing any face waxing service. While the PPP mandates and extended services times are required, a $5 charge will be added to any brow services. Please check our menu page for our prices.
LIMITED STAFFING- As we follow re-opening guidelines, our locations will be operating at 25% capacity. If you don't see an availability at your chosen location, switch to another location & see the availabilities there
LIMITED DESK STAFF- At this time, OC Waxing will not be able to have Desk Staff or be greatly reduced, so you will most likely be with your Waxologist from the beginning to the end of your time with us. As we re-open, this is a trying time for us while we try and rebuild from the devastating closure we have experienced, so we appreciate your patience & understanding
ONLINE BOOKING- Your online booking abilities are always available and we encourage our clients to do so at their leisure. You may pick your Waxer, location, time, book and cancel. Should you have any problems with your online account, shoot us an email and we can fix it for you. If we have your email on file already, simply click "forgot password" and you'll get a link to reset your online account
CLEANING & DISINFECTING- We are super-duper on the cleaning front, but now is the time where we will take it up 10 notches. We are extending services times to allow for more cleaning, we are disinfecting high-touch areas after every client & we have touch-free ways for you to checkout
SALON HOURS- During this time of rebuilding, we will not be open on Mondays & Tuesdays. Our schedule will remain the same Wednesdays through Saturdays. Our goal is to get back on our feet and be open with our regular hours as soon as possible!
PATIENCE- There are MANY other "back of the house" changes at our small business that we are trying to navigate. This closure has been nothing short of devastating and it is a very trying time. I appreciate your patience with these changes, and I am grateful for your support of OC Waxing. Without you, we don't exist!

COMMON QUESTIONS & ANSWERS - PANDEMIC EDITION:
I don't see my Waxer on the schedule? We have Waxers returning that feel safe to return. Covid has brought many changes due to being shutdown for 6 months. Waxers have moved away, switched careers, have no childcare to be able to work etc. We are rebuilding OC Waxing & doing it while being mindful of each of our new realities.
Why are you only open at Laguna Niguel & Irvine? Small businesses are currently struggling with lease negotiations & OC Waxing is no different. I am working with our Landlords to try and come to a mutually positive solution when some are requiring rental payments for the entire time we have been shut down. As disheartening as it is to have to fight for some understanding for us "small guys", please know our intention is to reopen all of our salons once we have more answers, and we've added more amazing Waxers to our Tribe.
How can I book an appointment? We still have very limited Desk Staff at the moment. You are able to book yourself online & I promise we will get back to your calls, voicemails & emails just as soon as we can. Reopening time is a craziness like I have never seen, so please be patient.
I have people I do not want to get sick and I am worried, how can I ensure you are clean? Keep in mind, our Estheticians have more than 36 hours of infection control and sanitation training while Billy the stocker at your local grocery store does not. Our salons are the epitome of sanitation & we always pride ourselves in regards to our safety protocols that are above and beyond any store you are visiting during your daily errands. It's always a top priority to keep you safe, that's our job & we are super awesome at it!
How do I move my appointment online? You cannot "move" it, you need to cancel your current appointment and make a new one. Please make sure you cancel the one you do not want to ensure you do not get charged a no-show fee
When will all of this return to normal? Oh boy we are asking the same question. We are fighting hard to keep our business thriving & we hope and pray every day that our world will move past this & we can all get back to life as we once knew it.

COVID WAIVER FORM
I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing. I further acknowledge that OC Waxing has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I further acknowledge that OC Waxing can not guarantee that I will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, salon staff, and other salon clients and their families. I voluntarily seek services provided by OC Waxing and acknowledge that I am increasing my risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending my appointment.
I attest that: * I am not experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell. * I have not traveled internationally within the last 14 days. * I have not traveled to a highly impacted area within the United States of America in the last 14 days. * I do not believe I have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19. * I have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and have not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities. * I am following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I hereby release and agree to hold OC Waxing harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of the salon, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from OC Waxing. I understand that this release discharges OC Waxing from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the salon with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from OC Waxing. This liability waiver and release extends to the salon together with all owners, partners, and employees.
